Secretary Price Scheduled to Speak at National Health and Human Services Summit
Earlier today it was announced that U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price is planning to attend the 2017 American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) National Health and Human Services Summit in Partnership with the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities and address attendees Wednesday, May 3 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The full event is April 30-May 3 in Baltimore.
Along with Secretary Price’s remarks on the vision and direction that the administration is taking with regards to the modernization of health and human services in our country, another key summit highlight will be the unveiling of Alliance’s public policy platform.
During an Alliance network-only session, Plug in to the Power of Advocacy, to be held Sunday, April 30 at 1 p.m., Alliance President and CEO Susan Dreyfus will update members on the state of the Alliance and introduce the unveiling of the strategic action network’s member-driven 2017-2019 platform.
At this pivotal moment in our country, field, and sector, member connections with one another nationally and our shared voice for influence is more important than ever, and the summit serves as an excellent opportunity to bring the sectors together for shared learning and honest dialogue on the important issues of our time.
The summit is expected to offer a great experience with strategic value and relationship-strengthening opportunities for members and for us as a national strategic action network.
