Since 2005, Alliance for Strong Families and Communities partner FamilyWize has helped over 15 million people save over $1.7 billion on their medications through its free FamilyWize card, which has no eligibility requirements and is accepted at major pharmacies nationwide. FamilyWize is focused on helping people, both uninsured and insured, to afford their prescription medications. It partners with pharmacies and community-based organizations to bring awareness to how people can get assistance with the cost of their medications.
In recognition of February being National Heart Month, FamilyWize has partnered with Walgreens for a new program around heart health. By showing the FamilyWize card at Walgreens, which is good at all major retailers all year-round, community members will now receive deeper discounts on heart-related medications.
