Because longevity and caretaking duties commonly influencing money behaviors, women need to account for certain truths—women tend to outlive men, and women tend to earn and save less than their male counterparts. This session will address some of the unique challenges women often face when saving for retirement, providing clear, actionable steps for closing the retirement savings gap.

Advancing Your Career within the Nonprofit Space

Discuss ways to advance your career and seize new opportunities within the nonprofit sector during this session facilitated by Loyola University Chicago’s Executive & Professional Education Center. Colleen Reaney, director of executive and professional education at Loyola, will moderate a conversation between nonprofit and philanthropic leaders Seth Green and Milton Rodriguez and career coaching professional Ashley Ritter, on how to navigate the professional pathways of service to others while elevating your own professional goals. 

Tools for Excelerating Your Personal Resilience 

In this five-part series, presented by neuroscience expert Frank Kros, participants will explore how to build an ongoing personal resilience practice through a series of reflective activities. Based in the latest brain science, this series of sessions will provide simple exercises to balance your brain chemistry. Learn the recipe for responding to stress. Participants will explore how to take back control, problem solve, avoid distractions, and give themselves grace.

Session 4: The Power Quarter-Hour 
Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 10-10:30 a.m. CT

Explore problem solving pitfalls and strategies. Following a step-by-step framework, participants will use thinking to solve problems, address avoidance and fear.

Session 5: Rearview Mirror 
Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 10-10:30 a.m. CT

Participant will learn how “Rearview Mirror” journaling can help them get in touch with a pathway for being their true selves. We become what we think about.
