Position Summary
The Program Specialist performs complex and confidential administrative related functions to ensure assigned program’s operations flow smoothly. The Specialist will provide essential coordination and oversight relating to the administrative requirements and provide quality customer service to landlords, partners and participants. The Specialist will assist in ensuring that the assigned program is ready to respond to all requests for data and audits. The Program Specialist is an integral member of the Housing Team and works collaboratively with all aspects of NVFS programs, representatives from Housing Departments, Departments of Social Service, local Continuum of Care (CoC), and representatives of other non-profit agencies and the faith community. The Regional Housing Assistance Program provides services to individuals diagnosed with HIV or AIDS in the Northern Virginia Region. This program works in partnership with other nonprofit organizations, Community Service Boards, Continuums of Care and County Housing and Community Development programs. These programs provide direct assistance and supportive services to support safe and stable housing for eligible households. Working remotely while providing some essential services which may require occasional in-person and/or in-office work. Salary range of $30K - $40K. In accordance with President Biden’s COVID-19 Action Plan, and as part of our continued efforts to maintain a safe workplace for employees and clients, NVFS will require all employees to be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccination or show proof of negative COVID-19 test results weekly.
