Sierra Vista Child & Family Services seeks a forward-thinking leader with strong business acumen to serve as Chief Executive Officer. In 1972 H.I. Tom Sawyer envisioned a group home that could provide the high level of care needed for children in the Stanislaus County. The agency’s foundation was built on the belief that children need positive and loving role models to grow into healthy adults. Over the past four decades, SVCFS has grown into one of the largest nonprofit agencies in the region, serving more than 19,000 children and families each year with nearly 300 dedicated employees who provide a myriad of critical programs throughout the Central Valley. SVCFS has created a sustainable continuum of child and family services that is integrated in to the community and is accessible and tailored to addressing a broad range of needs. By offering high quality programs that meet the growing needs of thousands of people of all ages who are overwhelmed with mental illness, child abuse or substance abuse, children and families have found healing and hope at Sierra Vista. For more information, please visit www.sierravistacares.org. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is expected to provide effective leadership while administering and directing all activities of the organization toward the fulfillment of Sierra Vista’s values, mission and vision. Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of ten years of leadership experience in the development of human service programs, administration of grant and contact funded programs, and fund development. The successful candidate should have a general knowledge of the regulations governing child welfare agencies. Experience working with county and state funding agencies would be beneficial.
