 Course Description

This e-course will delve into the emotional capacity of rEvolutionary Leadership, the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities' exclusive model for change leadership. This capacity relates to our ability to manage our emotional intelligence during times of transformational change. During this e-course, participants will hone their tactical and strategic skills so that they can manage day-to-day operations, while also actively preparing for the future.

All students will receive new practice manuals, along with practice activities/suggestions that will help them advance into achieving systems change. In addition, students will receive:

  • One hour of executive coaching to ensure they connect with the emotional capacity
  • A pre-course assessment to measure emotional capacity

Students will engage with the curriculum through a six-week e-course designed for convenience. Expect to commit one to two hours of time per week. The e-course will feature a live teleconference session, discussion questions, relevant readings, brief written assignment, and other resources.

All materials for this e-course will be accessible through CourseSites. Account information will be provided upon registration.

Tom Woll is the Facilitator of the Strategic Change Initiative. He has assisted organizations in 21 states over the last six years to identify and respond to the strategic challenges they are facing. Woll has worked closely with the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities over the last three years to help design and implement the Residential Transformation Project. This project has worked with 36 organizations from 18 states to help them to become more family-focused, more community-based and more results-oriented.

Woll conducts 400 interviews every year with public and private sector leaders, with practitioners in the field, with families and youth receiving services, and with elected public officials. He asks them to offer their thoughts on the future of human services and he shares those thoughts with the organizations he consults with. Woll has conducted over 2,600 interviews since January 2010.
