CHIEF FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CFAO)
Non-profit organization in the state of Delaware with close to 135 years of service is seeking a CFAO. Responsible for agency’s financial functions as well as targeted administrative functions that could include human resources, information technology and facilities. Statewide complex social service organization with multiple funding sources. Reports directly to the CEO. Serve as internal consultant to the CEO, Board, Board Committees, Senior Staff, and other key stakeholders on all financial matters, making recommendations and suggesting strategies. Provide oversight for and manage all budgets, billing, forecasts and internal financial plans and processes. Supervise and participate in annual financial audit. Support accounting, general ledger and operations functions. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Organize and manage financial operations, with the possibility of oversight of human resources, information technology and facilities functions, depending on the skills of the individual.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting; minimum five years full-charge bookkeeping experience; minimum five years supervisory experience of accounting and statistical personnel; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree with experience in not for profit organization, preferred. Must also have strong communication skills.
