Homebuilders is a research based model designed to assist families in a time of crisis. They are at imminent risk of having one or more of their children removed or not returned to them because of a serious issue within the family system. The Therapist provides Intensive Family Preservation Services using the Homebuilders model, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill building, concrete services, and advocacy. Serve two to three families at a time whose children are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement, or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive in-home services. Provide services primarily in client homes. Be available to respond to client crises when they occur.
This position requires a Graduate Degree in Human Services or related field or undergraduate degree and 2 years supervisory experience working with children and families. A very flexible schedule, valid driver's license and vehicle are mandatory. Must be 21 years of age or older and required to apply for Act 33/34 clearances (criminal and child abuse) as well as FBI clearance. Pre-employment drug screening and random employment drug testing required.
