HHS Secretary Lists ACEs as Helping to Predict Well-Being

I was very happy to see that an announcement last week from U.S. Health and Human Services (HSS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on the department introducing a new model of service delivery and workforce training mentions adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) science as a predictor of adult health and social issues.

As I have written here in the past, I believe we need to infuse, align, and accelerate this science to permeate all practice and policy in health and human services. Another post lists other reasons why science is so important to us. … more
