What Do San Antonio and Albany Have in Common?

Earlier this month, I joined 50 executives from Alliance and United Neighborhood Centers of America member organizations in San Antonio for the Alliance Executive Leadership Conference. From there, I went to Albany, N.Y., where I participated in the strategic planning kickoff for the affiliation between Alliance members Northeast Parent & Child Society and Parsons Child and Parent Center.

These two dynamic organizations are affiliating for what promises to be a very strategic and impactful opportunity for the children, families, and communities they serve. The resulting organization will be called Northern Rivers Family Services. … more

Health Care Reform: A New Challenge

Here is my latest video blog post on health care/entitlement reform and the impact it will have on America’s nonprofit human services sector. As I share on this video, we are not going to bend the curve of health care until we figure out what it is going to take to meet the bio/psycho/social needs of our most vulnerable population.
