Alliance Public Policy: Position Briefs & Issue Analyses
The joint public policy office of the Alliance for Children and Families and United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA) regularly publishes position briefs and analyses related to a variety of federal policy issues.
Three general principles guide all decisions about which issues to advocate for or against in Washington, as well as what policy positions to assert. Issues and policy positions are further prioritized according to a set of established criteria.
Newly Published Analyses
An overview of the final budget package signed into law April 15, 2011.
Provides an overview of the budget situation for the 2011 fiscal year, specifically addressing critical human service programs. It notes funding for programs that will be negotiated during a two-week continuing resolution, as well as programs that are part of the long-term budget negotiation.
