Listening Post Project
The Alliance for Children and Families is one of nearly a dozen national nonprofit membership organizations that participate in the Johns Hopkins University Center for Civil Societies, Institute for Policy Studies Listening Post Project.
The Listening Post Project is designed to monitor the health of the nonprofit sector. It also helps assess the ability of organizations to respond to economic and policy changes.
These goals are accomplished through periodic surveys of the participating associations’ memberships.
Surveys are distributed to more than 1,000 local organizations, which represent several segments of the nonprofit sector, including:
- Child and family services
- Older adult services
- Arts and music
- Community development
Survey results are then compiled, analyzed, and released to the public.
