The Alliance for Children and Families civic engagement program recommends these knowledge-development resources:
- Alliance for Children & Families Magazine. The Alliance's quarterly magazine often features the civic engagement efforts of members of the Alliance and United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA).
- Article Archive: Social Capital and Community Building. Directory of Alliance reports and articles related to civic engagement.
- Recommended Reports. Directory of reports, white papers, and other publications that relate to civic engagement.
- Online Resources. Variety of information for supporting nonprofit civic engagement, informing boards and staff, and working with clients.

Capital Division
The Alliance Intellectual Capital Division is responsible for generating new initiatives, ideas, and solutions to move the nonprofit human service field forward. Currently within the division's purview are:
