Alliance for Children and Families History

The Alliance was formed in 1998 by the merger between Family Service America and the National Association of Homes and Services for Children.

With nearly 100 years of human service leadership experience, the Alliance continues to help its member organizations successfully meet the challenges of today and prepare for those to come.

Alliance Corporate Structure

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities includes unique organizational assets that are aligned with its mission and vision.

One of these assets is its community development financial institution (CDFI). While currently operating as the Ways to Work poverty reduction program, the Alliance seeks to further leverage the CDFI for the benefit of the Alliance network and the capital-constrained nonprofit sector to help with capacity building, innovation, technical assistance, and social enterprise development. … more
